A Message from our Chairman
Let me take this opportunity to welcome each and everyone of you to the official website for the Floyd County Republican Party. Even typing those words seems surreal, but indeed there is a 2nd political party in Floyd County, Ky. This Republican Party believes that government is not the solution to what ails this great nation of ours but quite frankly a large part of the problem. We believe that Americans should be rewarded for hard work and not penalized by having the gains of that hard work taxed away. We believe that your voice being heard should not be determinate on you having a D beside your name on the voting roster. We have all seen what addressing only one side of issues can lead to. We as a party believe that not only is having more than one side represented essential to the sustainability of our democracy, but encourages the flow of fresh ideas and simply makes good sense. We believe in life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, the right to bear arms, the freedom to worship or not worship God as we please, the right to prosper free from the tyranny of big government, and the right to be heard. It is with that call to arms that I ask you to join us on this journey. Feel free to contact us and ask questions. We do not have all the solutions to all the problems we face but we know that America works best when its best take action. The Floyd County Republican Party wants you. Together we can help change our county for the better. Do I think this will be an easy road-- NO. Too many good people have the wrong ideas about what it means to be a Republican. Hearsay and tradition passed from generation to generation seems to trump the facts. That is why I am asking you to take a good look at the values and beliefs of this Republican Party and see if it doesn't more closely line up with your personal core values. I think you may be surprised.. I believe our best days are ahead of us and that we can still be that shining city set upon that hill. It is time that light shines brighter than ever before.
